HHO Tek to test a gross polluter

Posted by: hhotek No Comments

We have acquired a truck in Eureka California that is currently classified as a gross polluter.  This week we will be testing the truck again at the inspection station to confirm that status.  We will then Install the Platinum Fuel Saver onto the truck and drive the truck for roughly 1000 miles. Then we will have the truck tested again and will show that with the Platinum Fuel Saver most gross polluters can pass the smog test with our system

We are simply doing this test to provide documented proof to validate our claims.

Further oil price rises predicted on US demand

Posted by: hhotek No Comments

The price of oil inched closer to its highest level in more than a month as traders bet that figures to be released this week would show demand was rising in the US.

Brent crude touched $77.25 per barrel, an increase of 1.2p on the opening price, in early trading yesterday. The rise backs up predictions that the oil price will rise in 2010. Analysts at investment bank Goldman Sachs are predicting it will reach $110 by the end of the year.

Figures later this week are expected to reveal that oil stocks in the US are falling, indicating demand is rising as the US economy recovers.

Yesterday was the first day’s trading since Christmas Eve, when Brent crude closed at $76.31. The rise in price was despite thin trading, with many people still enjoying their Christmas break. The true direction of the oil price will only be tested once volumes return to their normal levels in the first week of January.

The key pressure on global oil prices is likely to come from demand from recovering Western countries and the emerging economies of China, India and Brazil.

For the US, the key figures over the short term will come from the Energy Information Administration, a section of the US Department of Energy, which is due to release figures on US oil stockpiles.

Last week US stockpiles fell by 5m barrels, a sign that the giant’s economy is improving and that oil prices could be set to rise.

Although predictions on oil prices for 2010 vary, the concensus has a barrel oil ending the year comfortably above the $100 mark. The more immediate concern for oil traders is whether a barrel of oil will end the year above $80.

How much does the U.S. shell out on fuel?

Posted by: hhotek No Comments

by Patrick DeHaan on Nov 13, 2009 01:27 PM

I decided that I’d crunch some numbers and attempt to put into perspective how much gasoline the U.S. consumes.

If you include everyone in the United States as of today (306 million-plus), gasoline demand is 458 gallons per person, per year, or 141 billion gallons/year as a country. Wow!

After crunching some of our numbers, I’ve calculated that the cumulative average price for a gallon of gasoline in 2009 stands at $2.299. Based on that number, the U.S. has spent $281.6 billion on gasoline as of the end of today (to be exact, $281,601,751,200). By the end of the year, that number will be closer to $327 billion dollars, assuming an average of $2.50/gallon from today through the rest of the year. That’s nearly $896 million per day!

I also did a study on sales of regular, mid-grade, and premium fuel. Regular gasoline makes up roughly 87% of sales, while mid-grade makes up around 4%, and premium accounts for 7%. 2% of gasoline sales are other grades, such as race fuel, E85, and other grades.

The amount of money that we will spend in 2009 on gasoline as a country is more than 4 times larger than the 2010 Budget for the Department of Transportation.

Small North Carolina Company Takes the Green Energy Industry by Storm

Posted by: hhotek 1 Comment

HHO Tek, once a self proclaimed “small grass roots company” , has in just a few months, become the hottest topic in green technology.
HHOTek evolved from manufacturing and successfully selling on-demand hydrogen systems. As often happens with good ideas, Trevor Hunter-HHO Tek owner tells us, certain government agencies regarded the modification of emission systems as a violation of law. Trevor maintains and offers testing results that what they were doing, was actually making the cars exceed minimum requirements. It was still not legal. So they discontinued the system and focused on diesel, until they were approached by another small company National Fuel Saver, NFS has been manufacturing a system for over 30 years which has a documented success in lowering emissions and increasing mileage. HHO Tek took over marketing and sales of their products and is currently in negotiations regarding the purchase of the technology patents.
Trevor explained that he decided to try a different approach to marketing rather than using nationwide independent dealers. He instead chose to enlist the help of a few veteran salespeople and began building the “HHO Tek infrastructure” which will maintain a greater degree of accessibility and accountability to the marketplace. This method seems to be working quite well for him. In the past few months HHO Tek has acquired numerous municipalities and large fleet accounts, “it seems that every fleet we land brings 3 or 4 more in that same industry”-Trevor Hunter.
They are also involved in $50+ million deal with a city here in the US which Trevor would not reveal at this time, however, he assured us, “ within just a few weeks, all will be revealed”.
So we had ask, just what is all the hype about? Well it surrounds the HHO Tek Platinum Injection system and the HHO Tek Oil Refiner. The platinum system is a fuel saving device that the company guarantees will improve a gas vehicle’s mileage by 22% or your money back, the diesel counterpart also has a money back guarantee but according to Trevor, due to the variances of mileage increases they do not place a percentage guarantee on it. It is simply if you are not happy with it, return it for a refund. Trevor said they have about a 3% return rate considering the 600,000+ units that have been sold thus far and that is very reasonable. The oil refiner system is a new addition to HHO Tek; it is also a 30+ year old product that was brought to HHO Tek in the same manner as the platinum system was. Trevor completely astounded me when he said that the oil refiner will allow a vehicle owner to NEVER change their oil again. Upon hearing this I myself was a bit skeptical until I saw the oil sample analysis from everything from school buses that had went 300,000 miles to new dodge charger police cruisers that had went over 25,000 and the oil samples were perfect, in some cases the used refined oil was actually cleaner than the baseline oil was.
During our interview, we called on Don Conner-Industrial Sales Director for HHO Tek and his view on where this company is headed. “In view of today’s economy and changing marketplace values, I see nowhere but up. We provide sound, tried and tested, environmentally conscious, fiscally conservative products. We do so affordably to those wishing to lower their carbon footprint along with dollars spent for driving, heating, cooling and lighting. We can lower the average family, company, city or state carbon footprint by 25% across the board. Nationwide, that is savings in the hundreds of billions of dollars. The most exciting part of this journey for me is in making the United States a greener safer place to live, by eliminating imports of foreign oil from countries, where a great deal of our wealth and the cream of our youth is being wasted . All the while, some of those nations use our petro dollars to export terrorism.
When we visited the HHO Tek website www.hhotek.com we learned that they do indeed have numerous green products for sale. We asked Trevor what was his biggest seller at the moment and he explained that the home products are new to the site and his sales team is focused on the fuel saver right now, he is firm in the belief, “the rest will come in time; we are having to create a trusted name for ourselves. With so many fuel saving devices out there that simply do nothing more than scam people out of their hard earned money it has a been a rough road to travel , however, I think we are well on the way, in overcoming that skepticism. We inform people about products that work and ones that don’t on our radio show” as listeners do the same for us, in relating their experiences with ours and other’s offerings for the greening of America. When we asked him to give some examples of what doesn’t work, he just grinned and said “I guess you will have tune into the show on Wednesday wont you”

This has nothing to do with green energy, but im a huge fan of Aston Martins and this is very interesting

The next time you’re planning on shipping you’re automotive pride and joy, maybe you shouldn’t go with “the cheapest shipping in town” trucking company. If you do, your car may end up (or, end down) like this poor Aston Martin Vantage.aston martin falls off truck 1aston martin falls off truck 2

It Looks like part of the loading ramp broke off of the truck (look at the big piece of metal on the ground), with it, this really nice Aston Martin V8 Vantage. At least it was only the rear end of the car that took the fall. Besides, I’m sure that will buff right out.

10% Ethanol…The inside scoop!

Posted by: hhotek 1 Comment

“In theory, all fuel-driven vehicles have a fuel economy that is directly proportional to the fuel’s energy content. In reality, there are many other variables that come in to play that affect the performance of a particular fuel in a particular engine. Ethanol contains approx. 34% less energy per unit volume than gasoline, and therefore in theory, burning pure ethanol in a vehicle will result in a 34% reduction in miles per US gallon, given the same fuel economy, compared to burning pure gasoline. Since ethanol has a higher octane rating, the engine can be made more efficient by raising its compression ratio. In fact using a variable turbocharger, the compression ratio can be optimized for the fuel being used, making fuel economy almost constant for any blend. .For E10 (10% ethanol and 90% gasoline), the effect is small (~3%) when compared to conventional gasoline, and even smaller (1-2%) when compared to oxygenated and reformulated blends. However, for E85 (85% ethanol), . Actual performance may vary depending on the vehicle. Based on EPA tests for all 2006 E85 models, the average fuel economy for E85 vehicles resulted 25.56% lower than unleaded gasoline. The EPA-rated mileage of current USA flex-fuel vehicles should be considered when making price comparisons, but it must be noted that E85 is a high performance fuel, with an octane rating of about 104, and should be compared to premium. In one estimate] the US retail price for E85 ethanol is 2.62 US dollar per gallon or 3.71 dollar corrected for energy equivalency compared to a gallon of gasoline priced at 3.03 dollar. Brazilian cane ethanol (100%) is priced at 3.88 dollar against 4.91 dollar for E25 (as July 2007).” source: http://en.wikipedia.org

How does this effect you?

So you have heard that ethanol is a better value for you? Its better for a number of reasons right? Well this is not true, if you drive the average car. There are some exceptions of course, and they are: High compression engines: Ferrari, porsche, lamborghini. Turbo cars: subarus, volvos, saab. But if you drive the everyday car ethanol effects you very much. It reduces your fuel mileage and causes carbon buildup in your engine along with a few more negative effects such as noticeable power loss. So if you have a choice choose to run non ethanol fuel because it helps noone, except the manufacturer. Its not even “Greener” it still has emissions, just as gas does and the fact that its less efficient makes it actually worse.

If you have no choice but to run ethanol enriched fuel you can counteract some of the negative effects it has with the HHO Tek Platinum Gas Saver

HHO Tek Product back in the news again.

Posted by: hhotek No Comments

Our platinum injection system which is manufactured by national fuelsaver corp was in the news again yesterday. Here is the article
(HHO Tek is the US Distributor for the Platinum Gas Saver)

“Gas Saver” Invention That Actually Saves Gas . . . Who Knew?8-31-09 1:55 PM EDT

“23 mpg in the city and 45 on the highway.” Isn’t this what we all look at when choosing our car or truck? Smaller gas-burning engines get better mileage, so they say. Touted “mpg’s” seem to rise every year, especially with the addition of computers and advanced technology. Or do they? In reality, vehicles have shown less than a 5% increase in miles per gallon in the past 60 years, despite sophisticated technology.

In the face of tightening economies, excessive pollution and mileage performance have become concerns across the globe. Mexico City motorists have strictly-enforced “no drive” days in an attempt to control their pollution. Santiago, Chile drivers face the same concern, as do many U.S. cities that incur health warnings whenever smog levels soar. Eighty-six percent of all households own at least one vehicle and first-time car buyers increase an average of 10 percent per year. Nearly 378 million gallons of gasoline are consumed every day in the U.S.—that’s an average of 454 gallons per year for every man, woman and child!

Joel Robinson, Director of National Fuelsaver Corp. in Boston, Massachusetts, states, “It’s no wonder there’s been a lack of progress in the area of increased engine efficiency. The principles of automotive engineering have been grossly misunderstood.” National Fuelsaver Corp. devised the Platinum Gas Saver in 1977, which increases the mileage of gasoline-powered engines by 22 percent, meeting federal and state emission standards. Their premise was as significant as their invention.

In the mid 70’s, California, together with the federal government, decided to get serious about the amount of pollution in the atmosphere and mandated catalytic converters, which are basically mufflers whose internal surfaces have been coated with platinum. Not all the gas that enters an engine is consumed; that which escapes is released into the air as a pollutant. Platinum is a catalyst that causes unburned fuel to burn upon contact, eliminating pollution. It does not, however, create more miles per gallon with the increased burning of fuel, because the burning of this fuel occurs outside of the engine. The energy to power a vehicle is created only by the burning of fuel within the engine after the intake valve has closed and before the exhaust valve opens. Any additional burning of fuel outside the engine (i.e. within the catalytic converter) has no effect on mpg.

Textbooks state that 95 percent of the gas introduced into the engine is burned, driving the vehicle. However, according to EPA Federal Test Procedure data gathered in five separate tests, only 80 percent of gasoline is burned in perfectly-tuned gas engines. Additional research conducted by Champion Spark Plugs shows that the average engine is 12 percent worse than perfectly-tuned gas engines, bringing the burn percentage down even further to 68 percent. These two premises are the basis of National Fuelsaver’s Platinum Gas Saver, created more than 30 years ago. “It really comes down to chemistry,” continues Robinson. “By bringing the chemistry of platinum and unburned fuel into the engine itself, we were able to get added use from fuel that had previously been wasted and released into the environment as a pollutant.”

The Gas Saver is a modest device about the size of a video tape and holds a pre-measured platinum formula. The engine vacuum draws microscopic quantities of vaporized platinum into the intake manifold where it joins the fuel/air mixture entering the engine. With platinum in the flame zone, the fuel burn percentage inside the engine increases from 68 to 90 percent, a significant increase of 22 percent. That allows a vehicle to travel 22 percent faster, or 22 percent more miles per gallon, with the original amount of fuel.

Municipal officials in Los Angeles, Albuquerque and Denver, among others, have installed the gas-saving device on diesel-powered city vehicles. A five-year review of the Gas Saver Catalyst Delivery System was completed in 1985 by the Federal Consumer Protection Department, that stated that independent tests in 1980 and 1982 supported an even higher increase in mpg than the 22 percent claimed by the manufacturer, National Fuelsaver Corp. Results included: lowered emissions; reduced carbon build-up within the engine; increased engine life span; 3-5 point octane boost; significant pollution reduction; more power and acceleration and is safe and compatible with all gasoline burning engines. Their chemistry, science and premises proved valid.

So, why haven’t we heard of this device before? I can’t say, except maybe it’s simply the right time. Although more than half a million units have been sold, it is relatively unknown and un-utilized. But it is needed, nonetheless, especially in today’s unstable economy where we need a break to help us keep costs down, productivity up, pollution and waste down, and morale up. “The purchase and maintenance of an automobile is perhaps the second largest investment we make, next to a home,” says Robinson. “Anything that can increase efficiency and decrease cost is a real blessing in today’s world.”
